John Baird appeared live on BNN Bloomberg to discuss the latest in NAFTA negotiations and other key issues in Canadian trade. He spoke about the challenges faced by Mexico with a presidential election looming, the importance of Chapter 19 and avoiding a sunset clause to Canada, and the United States' focus on country of origin rules in the auto sector. John also pointed out that when the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership is in full effect, it will be a huge win for Canada—and it will be interesting to see how the United States reacts.
