Christy Clark appeared live on CTV’s Power Play to discuss LNG Canada’s announcement that its joint venture participants will build its $40 billion LNG export terminal in Kitimat, BC. Christy worked tirelessly to create a new industry in LNG during her six-and-a-half years as Premier of British Columbia.

She said the project succeeded because her government was fully involved with industry and First Nations from the start. “We did things that the private sector can't do. So the private sector can hire environmental stewards, or they can create a revenue stream, but First Nations don't just want the money. What they want is roads into rural and remote communities. They want decent schools. And those are things that only government can do.”
