Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that Dominique Hussey has been elected Lead Director of the firm’s Board of Directors.
Dominique is Head of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation group. Her practice involves all aspects of IP litigation and dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on litigation involving pharmaceutical and biotech patents, and trademarks. In her advisory practice, she counsels on a range of trademark, patent, copyright, trade secret, advertising, and regulatory matters. She also advises on IP aspects of treaty negotiations and domestic legislative changes. She helps clients navigate the IP aspects of corporate acquisition, re-organization and joint ventures, including the regulatory and competition aspects of the life sciences and health care industries.
Before joining Bennett Jones, Dominique practised at a large law firm in New York, where she provided litigation and counselling services to pharmaceutical and consumer products companies in the areas of patents, trade secrets and false advertising, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical patent litigation.
Dominique regularly writes, speaks and teaches on written and oral advocacy, litigation and intellectual property topics. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Canadian Intellectual Property Law Review and the Canadian Institute's Journal of Intellectual Property Law. She is admitted to practice in Ontario, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
