The Lieutenant Governor in Council of the Province of Alberta appointed Bennett Jones partners Bob Booth, Martin Kratz, Perry Spitznagel and Blair Yorke-Slader as Queen's Counsel. The honorary title recognizes members of the Alberta bar for their contributions to the legal profession and to their communities. In the announcement Justice Minister Alison Redford noted that the "designation recognizes outstanding expertise, work and contributions in a lawyer's public life".
