During law school, Kanwar received the Richard and Donna Ivey Scholarship for Environmental Law and the Wildeboer Dellelce LABLS Business Law and Practice Award for outstanding academic achievement and service to the community. Kanwar also worked as a teaching assistant for business law and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada where he assisted community members in Brampton in navigating immigration and housing rights. In his final year of law school, Kanwar completed a semester-long work placement with the Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office (Civil) and gained valuable experience in administrative law and public law matters.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Kanwar summered and worked as a lawyer-in-training with the firm. He completed a secondment at The Coca-Cola Company, gaining valuable in-house experience in corporate and competition/antitrust matters. Kanwar serves as a registered notary public.
