Digitalization of Payments and Currency is a report of a virtual conference of international and Canadian experts, organized by Bennett Jones and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and held on March 7, 2023.
The report assesses the valuable insights Canada can glean from its international partners regarding the digitalization of our economy's payment systems and monetary policy frameworks, while showcasing their applicability within our domestic context.
Additionally, the report acts as a companion paper for our June 2023 Economic Outlook as it summarizes the challenges and opportunities that Canada is currently facing and will continue to face in light of the ongoing digitization of the economy.
