Substantive Series: China's New Normal: Implications for Canada-China Business

April 14, 2015

Close

The Chinese economy is predicted to grow this year by 7%. In absolute terms, that growth will add economic activity equivalent to the size of China's whole economy as it was 15 years ago. However, economic activity and investment patterns are shifting. China's rising consumer economy continues to expand in size, sophistication and disposable income. This is driving new business, new sources and types of inbound and outbound investment and a growing appetite for higher value products and technology from around the world. Keeping up with developments in China is more important for more businesses in Canada than ever before.

Join Bennett Jones and our lawyers for a BJA professionalism series course which will focus on recent economic, business and legal developments in China and their implications for the two-way trade and investment relationship between Canada and China.
