Two Bennett Jones teams braved snow, grizzly bears and mountains to race in the 33rd Annual Kananaskis 100 mile Relay Race (K-100). Ben Jonesin' for Victory won in the legal category with a time of 12 hours and 50 minutes. The team of Bullett Jones performed admirably with a number of gutsy performances by the eight-member squad.
The K-100 is as Canadian as it gets. The course starts in the rolling hills of southwestern Alberta and ends in Kananaskis Country. Racers are tested on Canada’s highest engineered road that peaks at Highwood Pass, 2206m above sea level.
This year also saw 50 cm of snow fall on Highwood Pass one day before the start and numerous grizzly sightings on the race course throughout the day.
Congratulations to our Bennett Jones teams!
