Calgary — Bennett Jones LLP continues to be recognized as one of Alberta's Top 70 Employers of 2015 for leadership in providing employees an environment and culture that makes it one of the best places to work in the province.
This is the fifth consecutive year since 2011 that Bennett Jones has been included on the list, continuing a tradition of excellence. The editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers singled out the firm for its commitment to long-term employee development and for promoting a positive corporate culture that encourages balance between work and personal life.
According to Mediacorp Canada Inc., the advisory board that oversaw the selection criteria, in partnership with the Calgary Herald and the Edmonton Journal, companies and organizations on the list for this year were identified as leading "their industries in attracting and retaining employees."
In addition to employee development, Mediacorp editors recognized Bennett Jones for unique programs that promoted individual growth, such as in-house and online training, mentoring, and subsidizing tuition and professional accreditation.
In terms of the work and life balance, editors praised Bennett Jones for its "flexible hours, shortened and compressed work weeks, a 35-hour work week (with full pay), and paid personal days off, which can be scheduled throughout the year."
