Kathy Moisan is an experienced business law paralegal. Since 2011, her primary focus has been on financial services, where she has leveraged her legal and business expertise. In 2023, she expanded her expertise to include corporate law and recently began specializing in real estate law.
Her main tasks include searching public registers such as the Register of Personal and Movable Real Rights, the Bank Act security registry (section 427), docket entries, the Registraire des entreprises du Québec and Corporations Canada, as well as the Land Register. She conducts in-depth analyses of results, prepares search reports, and files various declarations and registration requisition forms in the appropriate registers. She also prepares documentation to support financing arrangements and resolutions, and assists with incorporating, registering and organizing companies, particularly managing extra-provincially registered entities.
Before entering the legal field, Kathy gained valuable experience in B2B marketing as a marketing coordinator for an international publishing company. This unique background gave her a deep understanding of business needs, which has proven valuable in her role as a paralegal. Her combined legal and business experience makes her a valuable resource for companies in the financial and real estate sectors.
