Kaamil Khalfan has a general litigation practice, focusing on the areas of commercial litigation, commercial insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy and health law. Kaamil is regularly involved in researching complex legal issues and drafting various documents in these practice areas. 

During his undergraduate studies, Kaamil co-authored a journal article in a leading peer-reviewed international health publication. While completing his MBA and law degrees, Kaamil worked as a research assistant at the Law and Technology Lab, concentrating on the intersection between intellectual property law, privacy law and entrepreneurship, and co-founded a legal technology start-up. Kaamil also worked as a teaching assistant for tax law and business agreements, volunteered at the Trademark and Entrepreneur Clinic and completed a judicial internship with The Hon. Michael J. Gerou of the 35th District Court of Michigan.

During law school, Kaamil received the Torkin Manes LLP Award and the Eugene and Mary Anne Gargaro Endowed Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and service to the community. He was also awarded the Book Award in Advanced Advocacy for highest achievement in the course. 

Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Kaamil articled with the firm.
