For more than 25 years, Rhonda Heffernan has held leadership roles in the legal industry. In her role as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Bennett Jones, she is responsible for the management of all members of the Human Resource team. She contributes to the overall strategy of the Firm by building and enhancing HR policies, programs and tools to attract, develop and retain high performance talent. As part of her role, she leads the development of initiatives to support and maintain the overall mental and physical wellness of the firm’s talent, while ensuring the Firm continues to maintain its position as a top tier employer in all of its markets.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Rhonda was the National Human Resources Director at another national law firm for 10 years. During her tenure, she was instrumental in building a national HR structure throughout that firm’s Canadian offices and successfully managed the integration of staff over the course of several mergers with other Canadian law firms.
