Jasmine is an associate in our Litigation group in Toronto. She maintains a general intellectual property litigation practice.

Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Jasmine worked in the IP litigation department of a large international firm. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honourable Justice Simon Fothergill at the Federal Court of Canada, assisting with a number of matters in the areas of intellectual property, national security, administrative law, tax law and immigration. Jasmine articled at one of Canada’s pre-eminent intellectual property boutiques in their trademarks and litigation practice groups.

Jasmine graduated from the joint JD/MBA program at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business, which followed a Master of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, United Kingdom. During her studies in the JD/MBA program, Jasmine was a senior editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. She competed in a number of moots, most notably the Oxford International IP Moot. Jasmine also spent a summer as a legal fellow at a non-governmental organization in Bangalore, India. During her final semester, she acted as a consultant for an Israeli nuclear medicine company through the Global Leadership Program. Jasmine was actively involved in her law school community, and served as Co-President of the JD/MBA Students’ Association during her final year.

During law school, Jasmine was heavily involved in the IP law community, earning the Gowling WLG Best Blog in IP Law & Technology Prize and serving as a research assistant for Professor Carys Craig as well as a fellow with the IP Osgoode Innovation Clinic. In her final year, she studied abroad at the National University of Singapore, where she completed a directed research paper on colour marks and functionality.

Outside of the office, Jasmine is passionate about community service, and serves on the board of directors of Eli’s Place. She has also volunteered for many years with Lean In Canada’s Toronto chapter. A language enthusiast, Jasmine is fluent in French and Spanish.

Jasmine was called to the Ontario bar in 2020, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. She is also a member of The Advocates' Society, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), Young Women in Law, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association. Jasmine serves on the Executive Committee of the Toronto Intellectual Property Group (TIPG).
