Zakariya Chatur has a general corporate law practice with a particular interest in mergers and acquisitions, energy, construction and securities.
Zakariya has experience in a broad range of matters and transactions, including renewable project development, CCUS, public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, securities offerings and general corporate and commercial matters.
While in law school, Zakariya was a co-founder of a medical technology start-up and was involved with Dalhousie Legal Aid Service. During his academic career he received several awards, including the A. William Cox Award from the Schulich School of Law.
Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Zakariya summered and articled with the firm.
