We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Toronto office:

Manager, Enterprise Architecture

Essential Functions:

• Oversee the planning and implementation of enterprise technology services and ensure all proposed designs (infrastructure, network, and application services) follow best practices and meet the firm's objectives for infrastructure resilience and security compliance.
• Manage the creation, maintenance, and optimization of the firm's enterprise architecture strategy, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure, network, and application services to ensure it aligns with business goals.
• Analyze current trends in technology architecture and advise about new frameworks and best practices that might improve business processes.
• Coordinate with functional managers of all key IT areas to ensure proper design and configuration document exists for all pertinent systems, applications, and network infrastructure environment.
• Work with the National Director to develop annual infrastructure technology plans and create infrastructure roadmap and portfolio of initiatives to support the firm's business operations and achieve the future state.
• Design enterprise infrastructure framework to improve efficiency, reliability, and the overall operational effectiveness of the firm's IT infrastructure environment.
• Support strategic initiatives to ensure the firm's IT department is adhering to infrastructure standards and best practices.
• Facilitate the execution of the infrastructure roadmap by introducing best practices and principles to enable consistent delivery and alignment with strategic long-term direction.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine project requirements and capabilities and strategize planning and implementation timelines with assigned project managers.
• Support the creation of detailed plans, including network and infrastructure diagrams, for the integration of new systems architecture into existing infrastructure and provide expertise to project teams for successful project implementation.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network, and application support teams to ensure system performance meets the needs of the Firm.
• Work with IT infrastructure, network, and application support teams to ensure design and configuration documentation is constantly updated and always in place for the IT business continuity and disaster recovery (IT-BCDR) systems and solutions.
• Work with the information security team to ensure infrastructure components of the IT-BCDR systems align with the firm's information security standards and requirements.
• Support the IT Management team with assigned operational activities as required.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields of study.
• Strong technical skills in IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, VMware ESXi, Hybrid Cloud, SAN solutions, and Database Systems.
• Extensive knowledge of and strong technical skills in computer network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.
• 10+ years’ combined experience architecting, designing, developing and administering network infrastructure solutions, including voice and data communication systems, network security systems, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
• 5+ years' experience delivering large scale IT infrastructure projects with direct architectural accountabilities for execution and delivery.
• Relevant industry certification is considered an asset (e.g. TOGAF, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect/Design Expert, CCNP, CCIE, etc.)
• Experience with emerging technologies and translating new trends into potential use cases.
• Highly proficient in ITIL strategy, network security, network components, active directory, and protocols.
• Possess excellent knowledge and experience of various IT Infrastructure technologies (end user computing, data center services, network and security, databases, middleware, and disaster recovery etc.,) and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software.
• Experience working in multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
• Understanding of common enterprise architecture patterns.
• Familiar with standard diagramming techniques (UML, TOGAF, ERD, etc.,).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
• Experience developing, implementing, and managing business continuity management systems and processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
