Jaspreet has a general commercial litigation practice, with a growing focus on medical malpractice and professional negligence.
In her commercial litigation practice, Jaspreet has been involved in a broad array of complex matters including commercial-contractual disputes, civil fraud recovery, and securities litigation including shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, and actions brought by securities regulators. Jaspreet's commercial litigation experience includes commercial disputes arising in the energy industry and from large construction projects.
Jaspreet's medical malpractice and professional negligence practice concentrates on representing physicians before the courts when they are sued for medical malpractice. In addition, she represents physicians facing professional conduct issues and disciplinary matters before various administrative bodies.
Jaspreet also has experience in serious personal injury claims and collections matters.
Jaspreet has assisted with matters before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and administrative tribunals, including the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and Alberta Securities Commission. Jaspreet has also assisted with matters submitted to domestic and international arbitration.
Jaspreet is a member of the Calgary Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Advocates' Society. Jaspreet also acts as a Moot Coach for the Health Law Moot to University of Calgary Law students taking the University's mooting program.
Prior to becoming an associate, Jaspreet summered and articled with the firm. In law school, Jaspreet participated in Pro-Bono Students Canada initiatives and served as VP External for the Women in Leadership Executive Team.
Before her legal career, Jaspreet was a public policy advisor for a Calgary business association.
